Oprah Winfrey beware! There’s a new kid on the Book Club block. It’s none other than Victoria Beckham.

Victoria Beckham is to start her own exclusive celebrity book club. Posh’s new best friends Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez are to be the club’s first official members.

The reed-thin former Spice Girl - who moves to Los Angeles in the summer with husband David and their three sons - is keen to teach her American showbiz pals about classic English literature.

The 32-year-old plans for the VIP members to meet once a month at each other’s houses, where they will discuss the book they’ve been reading.

A source tells the Daily Star:

When Victoria told Katie Holmes about a book club, Katie thought it was a great idea.

Victoria has asked five of her friends, including Jennifer Lopez and Katie, to become members.

Books that Victoria apparently wants to talk about include Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Emma and Sense and Sensibility, as well as classics by literary giants Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy.

Is there anything this woman can’t do?
