Calling her shotgun wedding and divorce from Kid Rock a ‘rough month,’ Pamela Anderson says she intends to remain a single mom for the sake of her two sons.

39 year old Pam Anderson - whose divorce from Kid Rock, after a four-month marriage, became official on Feb. 1 - writes in a new posting on her online diary:

I’ve tried to remarry - move on - like any other single mom I’ve tried to create a healthy example for my kids always.

That’s why I realized early on that we are better off on our own right now.

While she says her sons with first husband rocker Tommy Lee - Brandon, 10, and Dylan Jagger, 9 - are “completely well adjusted and happy and thriving,” Anderson says their dad “has been in their lives in a productive but small way over the years.” And that she intends to “work on our friendship if nothing else with their father who’s admittedly made mistakes but adores us.”

Apart from her divorce, Pam also had to deal with the loss of a loved one recently - her golden retriever. Anderson writes of losing her 17-year-old golden retriever, Star, who died on March 18.

He has been with me since his birth, as long as I’ve been in LA.

But then, the good news: A new puppy, named Jo-Jo, has already been found.
