The animal kingdom has long been a source of inspiration for fashion designers. The leopard has had its moments. Snake and python skins are perennially chic. Now the zebra is the new object of desire.
Don’t get me wrong - It isn’t zebra skin. I’m talking about the black-and-white zebra stripes. They are the hottest trend right now.
Celebs worldwide are stampeding the shops to get their hands on the trend. Everyone from Cameron Diaz to Sienna Miller have stood out in stripes, and, most recently, Thandie Newton wowed the crowds at the launch of Mulberry for Giles (Deacon - hot designer) at London’s Harvey Nichols. Her beautiful mini showcased another hot trend: the one shoulder dress.

Always the epitome of class, Newton let the striped mini do all the talking - keeping accessories and makeup to a bare minimum.
If you have to accessories the zebra-look, I’d say go with a ruby red clutch, or bright red pumps. Whatever you do, do not pair the look with another busy print like leopard-printed shoes or bag.
To get the look yourself, try a striped sweater such as the one below:

You can buy the above sweater for £27.00 from here.
